Cartier - Mechanical Tank in Platinum Ref. 1601 1

This rare platinum Cartier Tank ref. 1601 1 was produced in 2000. The iconic Cartier design from 1919 was a personal favorite of Louis Cartier, who owned the business until 1940. The dial and movement are all signed. It is equipped with a 5.5mm ultra-thin movement, mechanical manual winding Cartier caliber 21MC (based on the Frederic Piguet caliber 21) plated in rhodium. It features a 23.50x30 mm platinum case with an 18k white gold buckle and scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The Cartier crown is set with the famous sapphire cabochon. This beautiful dial is in sunray guilloché silver with Roman numeral indexes printed in black around a rectangular railway minute/hour scale. We can also appreciate these blued hands of the Cartier sword. A very collectible timepiece for Cartier lovers!
