The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Milspec 1 appeared in the USA between 1950 and 1960. It was born between the collaboration of the president of Blancpain and Mr. Allen Tornek (New Yorker diamond dealer) to meet the needs of the American Navy. This Milspec 1 model is therefore the first model meeting their criteria.
This Milspec 1 has been authenticated by Blancpain which validates its conformity. Its micro-blasted steel case measures 41mm and has signs of wear. Its bidirectional bezel was probably replaced during service, as it contains superluminova. Its glass is in plexiglass and its crown in polished steel. The dial is original with a beautiful patina as well as its original tritium on its indexes and its humidity indicator dot at 6 o'clock. The hands were replaced by Blancpain. The piece contains the caliber R.570 which is an AS 1361N base which offers a frequency of 18,000 A/H, a power reserve of 38 hours and contains 17 jewels.
The watch is sold with its Blancpain authentication report, our box and our 6-month warranty.
