Here is a Porsche Design by Orfina dating from around 1975, reference PD01. A true icon among pilot's chronographs, this model was designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche and became legendary after being worn by Tom Cruise in the movie Top Gun. With its all-black design and outstanding legibility, it is now considered one of the most collectible military and aviation watches of its era.

Its 40.5 mm stainless steel case features a black PVD coating, an innovative technology for the 1970s. The coating has been remarkably well preserved over the years. The matte black dial offers excellent readability thanks to its large luminous hour markers, high-contrast hands, and bright orange chronograph seconds hand. It features a chronograph with a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock, running seconds at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, and a day-date display at 3 o'clock.

It is powered by the automatic Orfina-signed calibre based on the renowned Valjoux 7750, fitted with 25 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering approximately 46 hours of power reserve. The movement will be regulated as closely as possible to ensure accurate timekeeping.

The watch is fitted with its original black PVD-coated steel bracelet. The coating shows normal signs of wear in some areas but remains in very good overall condition, suitable for wrists up to approximately 19 cm.

It comes with our 6-month movement warranty.
