Its remarkable 49 x 51.5 mm case is crafted from 18k rose gold, titanium, and zirconium. Inspired by the iconic supercars of the 1970s such as the Lamborghini Miura, Lotus Esprit, and Lancia Stratos, the HM5 adopts their futuristic styling and the distinctive rear-window louvres that became a hallmark of the era. These upper louvres are not merely decorative: they can be opened via a dedicated side pusher, much like the ventilation system of a high-performance engine, allowing additional light to enter the movement.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the HM5 is the way time is displayed. The hours and minutes are indicated on horizontal rotating discs housed within the movement. Through an ingenious optical prism and reflection system, the time is projected vertically onto the display window located at the front of the case, allowing the wearer to read the time naturally while looking at the wrist. This innovative solution perfectly embodies MB&F’s creative and unconventional approach to watchmaking.

Powering the watch is a three-dimensional automatic movement developed by Jean-François Mojon and Vincent Boucard of Chronode. The calibre features 30 jewels and highlights the collaborative spirit and technical creativity that define MB&F.

The watch is fitted with its original light green leather-and-rubber strap and titanium buckle. An additional rubber strap is also included.
