Here is a Universal Genève Polerouter Automatic Microtor Circa 1956, reference 20360-3.
Its elegant 35.5 mm stainless steel case features the iconic lines designed by Gérald Genta for the Polerouter, with refined lugs and a silhouette that has become one of the most recognizable designs of 1950s watchmaking. The reference and serial numbers remain crisp and clearly visible between the upper lugs, reflecting the excellent preservation of the case.
This example stands out with its beautiful black dial featuring a full radium luminous chapter ring, creating a striking contrast with the applied markers and gilt minute track. A subtle central crosshair further enhances the vintage character of the dial, a hallmark of early Polerouter models. It should be noted that the watch is no longer fitted with its original Broad Arrow hands, which would normally be found on this reference.
The watch also retains its original signed Universal Genève crown and its original domed acrylic crystal, which shows a few age-related cracks consistent with its vintage nature.
Powering the watch is the renowned Universal Genève Calibre 215 Microtor automatic movement, one of the most innovative calibres of its era. Featuring 28 jewels, a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, and approximately 57 hours of power reserve, its integrated micro-rotor architecture allowed for a remarkably slim automatic movement while maintaining excellent performance.
The watch is fitted with a new brown saffiano leather strap and retains its original buckle.
It is accompanied by our 6-month warranty.
