- Audemars Piguet - Rare "Bamboo" Day-Date Moonphase Automatic WG & 18k YG Full Set Circa 1996 Ref. CA25621/614
Here is an Audemars Piguet Day-Date Moonphase “Bamboo” in 18k white and yellow gold, reference CA25621/614, dating from 1996.
Its case elegantly combines white and yellow gold, paired with a beautifully balanced ivory lacquered dial. Two sub-dials display the day and the date, and a moonphase appears at six o’clock. The Audemars Piguet logo sits at twelve o’clock, while the word “Automatic” is printed at six. The watch comes with its superb integrated white-gold bracelet, featuring a link construction reminiscent of bamboo geometry. The bracelet is in remarkable condition and can fit a wrist up to 19.5cm.
It is powered by the Audemars Piguet automatic calibre 2124. This calibre was designed to operate on its own or to receive various modules, particularly for calendar or moonphase indications. Between 1983 and 1996, Audemars Piguet acquired 14,650 LeCoultre & Cie ébauches of the 2124 calibre, of which 6,866 were used in 16 Royal Oak models between 1983 and 1999, underscoring the historical importance of this movement for the brand.
This calibre beats at 21,600 vph, features 33 jewels, and offers approximately 50 hours of power reserve.
This collectible piece is in exceptional condition. It comes from its first owner and is delivered with its full set: original box, papers, purchase invoice, as well as an Audemars Piguet invoice confirming that he requested the removal of the logo on the buckle.
It also comes with our 6-month warranty.
