Watch Spare was founded in Geneva in 2018 from a shared passion for watchmaking, vintage watches and the components that allow them to stand the test of time.
From the outset, our ambition was simple: to make vintage watch parts more accessible and provide independent watchmakers with a solution for identifying and sourcing components that had become difficult to obtain.
Over the years, Watch Spare has evolved. Alongside spare parts and components, we have expanded into movements, tools, watchmaking documentation and, naturally, vintage and pre-owned watches.
Today, Watch Spare brings together collectors, enthusiasts and watchmakers around a shared belief: to preserve, understand and pass on watchmaking heritage.
From Geneva to the World
From our premises in Geneva, we select and offer our pieces to collectors, enthusiasts and professionals in Switzerland and around the world.
Our own platform, complemented by our presence on specialist marketplaces such as Chrono24, now allows us to ship our watches and spare parts to clients around the world.
This international reach has not changed the way we work. Every piece physically passes through our hands in Geneva, where it is examined, documented and prepared before reaching its next owner.

Collecting, research, expertise, watchmaking, restoration, component identification, photography, documentation, sales and logistics: over time, we have brought together in-house the skills needed to accompany a piece from the moment it arrives at Watch Spare until it is placed in the hands of its new owner.
Our watchmakers bring their restoration experience and knowledge of vintage watches. This traditional expertise is complemented by modern tools and technologies that allow us to observe, measure and document pieces with a high degree of precision.
Yet behind the technology, the watchmaker’s eye, experience and knowledge remain essential.

Nicolas
Master Watchmaker & Founder
A graduate of the Geneva School of Watchmaking and a watchmaker for more than 20 years, Nicolas has brought his experience and expertise to Watch Spare since its beginnings. From analysis and inspection to restoration, he personally oversees the watches that pass through our hands and brings his expert eye to the most demanding pieces. In 2018, he founded Watch Spare with an idea at the heart of the project: to preserve and sustain watchmaking heritage by giving new life to watches and components that have passed through generations. Today, his knowledge of vintage watchmaking and his experience make him a reference in watch expertise. His role, however, extends beyond the workbench: Nicolas passes on his know-how every day to the younger generations helping Watch Spare grow, with the aim of preserving the skills, knowledge and passion on which the Maison was founded.
Oliver
Business & Development
A graduate of the Geneva School of Economics and Management at the University of Geneva, Oliver is currently completing the final year of his Master’s degree in Management, specialising in Strategy, Leadership and Organisation at HEC Lausanne. His interest in watchmaking developed in particular through his experience at an auction house, where he gained a deeper understanding of the world of collectible watches and the history behind each piece. His curiosity is fuelled by a paradox that fascinates him: at a time when technology is advancing ever faster and new products appear every day, mechanical objects that are sometimes decades old continue to generate remarkable interest. Taking the time to observe, understand and appreciate these objects — witnesses to a person, a brand, a country or an era — represents an essential part of his passion for watchmaking. At Watch Spare, Oliver focuses primarily on developing the Maison and its platform, as well as building relationships with collectors, professionals, partners and enthusiasts in Switzerland and internationally. He also accompanies the pieces entrusted to him, seeking to understand and preserve their history before passing them on to their next owners.
Céline
Product Development
A graduate of the Geneva School of Economics and Management at the University of Geneva, Céline is currently completing the final year of her Master’s degree in Management, specialising in Strategy, Leadership and Organisation at HEC Lausanne. Drawn to brand development, she is particularly interested in how an identity, a product and its story can be highlighted through a coherent strategy. At Watch Spare, Céline works on product development and the implementation of communication strategies. She also manages our social media channels and contributes to creating photographic content that presents our watches and parts at their best. With a strong appreciation for aesthetics and beautiful objects, she brings a different and complementary perspective to the Maison’s watchmaking universe. Of French-Japanese background, organised and versatile, Céline has a multifaceted role within Watch Spare. From daily activities to planning ongoing projects, she helps structure their development and shape the evolving image of the Maison.
Elias
Watchmaker
A graduate of the Geneva School of Watchmaking in 2025 after four years of training as a watchmaker, Elias joined Watch Spare with a genuine passion for watchmaking and mechanics. At 23, he divides his time between work at the bench and sport, with a particular passion for football. At Watch Spare, Elias works directly on the watches that pass through our hands. In particular, he carries out technical checks before each shipment to ensure that the watches are functioning properly, and also performs maintenance, regulation and servicing whenever required. Curious and driven by a genuine desire to learn, Elias works every day on watches from a wide range of brands, periods and calibres. This diversity provides particularly valuable experience for a young watchmaker: every new piece is an opportunity to discover a different construction, mechanism and form of craftsmanship, while developing his knowledge and experience at the bench day after day.
Nolan
Watch Parts & Components
A graduate of an AFP programme as a Watchmaking Operator in 2014, Nolan is passionate about mechanical movements and everything surrounding them. At Watch Spare, he works at the heart of one of the Maison’s historic activities: watch parts and components. Every day, Nolan organises, sorts and identifies the many spare parts that pass through our hands. He matches each component with its technical documentation, checks its condition and characteristics, then digitises it using our scanning technology in order to document it precisely and make it accessible on our platform. This meticulous work allows him to handle and identify a wide variety of components from different manufacturers, calibres and periods. It is an activity perfectly suited to his curiosity for mechanics and enables him to continually expand his knowledge. Nolan is also an important part of the everyday Watch Spare spirit: always ready to bring good humour and a touch of fun, he helps make the workshop a place where high standards and serious work go hand in hand with a friendly atmosphere.
Passing It On
Training Company
Watch Spare is also a training company. Welcoming and training an apprentice is, for us, a concrete way of helping to pass on the know-how that lies at the heart of our profession.
Alongside our watchmakers and enthusiasts, our apprentice discovers the profession day by day, learning its standards and techniques while working with watches and components from different periods of watchmaking history.
Preserving to Keep Time Alive
Since the beginning of the 20th century, the Swiss watch industry has produced an immense variety of components, dials, movements, tools and documentation. Part of this heritage has survived changes in production, the quartz crisis and the discontinuation of countless references.
These vintage stocks are now a valuable resource for watchmakers and collectors wishing to maintain or restore watches for which certain parts have become difficult to find.
Watch Spare sources, selects and identifies these components in order to make them accessible to professionals and enthusiasts alike, while providing the information needed for their identification.
Our Manufacturing
When certain parts essential to the restoration of a watch can no longer be found, we seek to provide a solution that can extend the life of the timepiece.
Working from an original part, our team combines watchmaking expertise, 2D and 3D measurement technologies and modern manufacturing methods to develop selected components with a high degree of precision.
These components are developed independently by Watch Spare, with respect for the intellectual property and visual identity of the manufacturers. They are not commissioned, produced or approved by the brands concerned.
Our aim is not to replace an original part when it remains available, but to offer a solution when an unavailable component prevents the restoration or proper functioning of a timepiece.
When a component manufactured by Watch Spare is used during an intervention, we always recommend retaining the watch’s original component.
Independent by Nature
Watch Spare is an independent company and is not affiliated with any watch brand or watchmaking group.
This independence allows us to work with watches, movements and components from a wide range of manufacturers and periods, with the same curiosity and high standards.
Our role is not simply to offer watches and parts. It is to play our part in helping them stand the test of time.
