Here is a vintage IWC Hermet Jumbo, featuring the Caliber 83, dating back to the 1940s.

The IWC Hermet, launched in the late 1930s, represents a milestone in watch durability. Designed to resist dust and moisture thanks to a hermetically sealed case, this elegant dress watch is powered by the robust Caliber 83, also used in military models like the Mark X. With its refined aesthetics and functional resilience, the Hermet reflects IWC's early commitment to creating timepieces that are both durable and elegant, laying the groundwork for today’s resilient watches.

This watch features a 35 mm stainless steel case with “cow horn” lugs. The sleek black dial has minimalist dot markers and Arabic numerals at the 3, 9, and 12 o’clock positions, with a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock framed by a railroad track. The long silver hands add a refined touch to this Jumbo model.

It is powered by IWC's manually wound Caliber 83, introduced in the 1930s, operating at 18,000 A/h with 15 jewels.

The watch is fitted with a new brown leather strap and retains its original signed buckle.

This piece is in excellent condition for its age and comes with our presentation box and our 6-month warranty.
