- Longines x Auburn - Vintage Tank with Palladium Case and Diamond Indexes 20 x 38 mm 1944
In 1944, Longines opened its boutique in Auburn Hills, Michigan. To celebrate the opening of this boutique, they launched a watch featuring the inscription "Auburn" on the dial (produced in limited numbers, probably). They enlisted the company Kaspar & Esh, a highly reputed jeweler in New York, to manufacture palladium cases and install the mineral crystals on the watch. This 20 x 38 mm watch from 1944 houses the famous dial with the "Auburn" inscription and 17 diamonds in place of the indices. Its silver dial exhibits a slight patina due to age and is in good condition.
The watch is powered by the brand's manual-winding caliber 9P, offering a power reserve of 43 hours, 17 jewels, and a frequency of 18,000 A/h. The watch is mounted on a new leather strap.
The watch is delivered with our box and comes with our 6-month warranty.
