Milus - Jetmaster Vintage Manual Winding Circa 1960

Here is this Milus Jetmaster Vintage, dating from around 1960. A particularly distinctive Swiss mechanical watch, featuring a playful yet elegant way of displaying the passing seconds.

Its 36 mm stainless-steel case houses a beautiful silver dial featuring contrasting finishes, applied hour markers and two steel dauphine hands for the hours and minutes. At 3 o’clock, the date window stands out with its red numeral, adding a subtle touch of colour to the overall design.

The defining feature of this Jetmaster, however, is its unusual seconds display. Instead of a conventional seconds hand, the watch features a rotating transparent disc carrying the silhouette of an aeroplane. The aircraft therefore completes a full rotation around the dial as the seconds pass, a particularly charming detail that directly echoes the “Jetmaster” name and the aviation-inspired spirit of the period.

It is powered by a manually wound Swiss mechanical movement. The movement will be regulated as closely as possible to achieve the best possible timekeeping performance considering its age.

The watch is fitted with a new beige Saffiano leather strap and a generic stainless-steel buckle.
