Here is this rare Piaget Altiplano, reference 12603, dating from around 1970. This piece perfectly embodies Piaget's ultra-thin elegance of the period, combining exceptionally refined finishing with one of the manufacture's emblematic automatic micro-rotor movements.

Its 32 mm white-gold case features a superb so-called “Palace” finish, with its finely textured decoration continuing directly onto the dial. This distinctive surface creates beautiful plays of light and gives the watch remarkable presence despite its extremely slim proportions. The dial is complemented by simple dauphine hands and applied baton hour markers with pronounced relief, creating a striking three-dimensional optical effect while remaining highly legible.

It is powered by the ultra-thin automatic Piaget calibre 12P1 with micro-rotor. The movement features 30 jewels, operates at 19,800 vibrations per hour and offers approximately 40 hours of power reserve. Its remarkably thin architecture is made possible in part by its beautiful micro-rotor fitted with a 24-carat yellow-gold oscillating weight.

The watch is fitted with a new blue Saffiano leather strap and its original Piaget white-gold buckle.

It is accompanied by its Piaget service box.

The movement will be regulated as closely as possible to ensure good timekeeping performance.

It comes with our 6-month warranty.

A particularly rare vintage Piaget, remarkable both for its distinctive “Palace” finish and its ultra-thin calibre 12P1 micro-rotor movement.
