Piaget - "Black Tie Emparador" Vintage Onyx Dial and Diamond Markers Circa 1970 Piaget Cal. 9P1 Ref. 9731 C 210
Here is this Piaget “Black Tie Emperador”, reference 9731 C 210, dating from around 1970. A particularly elegant vintage piece, characteristic of Piaget’s creations from this period, combining spectacular gold craftsmanship with a hard-stone dial.
Its shaped 18k yellow-gold case features soft, gently curved lines and flows into a remarkable integrated solid 18k yellow-gold bracelet. The bracelet is constructed from two rows of rounded links separated by a distinctive open central space, giving the watch a highly original presence while retaining the elegance associated with Piaget’s designs of the 1970s.
The black onyx dial offers a beautifully deep and minimalist appearance, punctuated only by four baguette-cut diamond hour markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The Piaget signature is positioned below 12 o’clock, while the discreet “Swiss” designation appears at 6. Two slender gold dauphine hands complete this particularly refined configuration, allowing the depth of the onyx and brilliance of the diamonds to take centre stage.
The watch is powered by the manually wound Piaget calibre 9P1, an ultra-thin movement emblematic of the manufacture’s expertise. It features 18 jewels, operates at 19,800 vibrations per hour and provides approximately 36 hours of power reserve.
Its integrated bracelet can accommodate a wrist of up to approximately 17.5 cm. The watch is offered without its original box or papers, and its previous service history is unknown.
It is accompanied by our 6-month warranty.
