Tissot - Navigator WorldTime Vintage Quartz Circa 1990

Here is this Tissot Navigator WorldTime Quartz, dating from around 1990. A particularly distinctive vintage watch, characterised by its unmistakable design and its display allowing the wearer to consult different time zones around the world.

Its 35 mm stainless-steel case is paired with an unusually shaped and instantly recognisable bezel. The light-coloured dial, particularly rich in information, features applied baton indexes, two baton-shaped hour and minute hands and a slender central steel seconds hand. A date window is positioned at 3 o’clock.

The central section of the dial is the defining feature of this Navigator. It incorporates a disc displaying the names of numerous international cities together with a 24-hour scale. The disc can be positioned using the crown to facilitate reading the time across different time zones, a function that perfectly explains the “Navigator” name.

It is powered by the Swiss ETA 255.265 quartz movement, providing simple and precise operation of this travel-oriented display.

It is fitted with its original stainless-steel bracelet, whose design integrates perfectly with the distinctive lines of the case. It can fit a wrist up to approximately 18 cm.
