Chopard – Mille Miglia “Jacky Ickx Limited Edition” Chronograph, Limited to 1'000 Pieces Circa 1999 Full Set Ref. 8388

Here is this Chopard Mille Miglia “Jacky Ickx Limited Edition”, reference 8388, dating from circa 1999. Produced as a limited edition of only 1,000 pieces, this version pays tribute to Jacky Ickx and combines the automotive spirit of the Mille Miglia collection with a particularly sporty configuration.

Its 39 mm stainless-steel case houses a black dial contrasted by large white Arabic numerals and three subdials dedicated to the chronograph functions. The central hands feature luminous material, while the central chronograph hand adds a subtle red accent. A date window is positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock, while a tachymeter scale runs around the outer edge of the dial.

The watch is powered by an ETA 2894-2 automatic chronograph movement, featuring 37 jewels, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing approximately 42 hours of power reserve. The open caseback reveals the movement and also features Jacky Ickx’s signature.

This example shows a few signs related to its history: the anti-reflective coating on the crystal displays some wear, while the signature on the transparent caseback also presents some imperfections. These details are deliberately disclosed to provide a fully transparent description of the watch.

It is fitted with its original stainless-steel bracelet and signed Chopard clasp, suitable for a wrist of up to approximately 20 cm. It comes complete with its original box and papers.
