Longines - Vintage Tank with a 14K White Gold Case and Diamond-Set Hour Markers Circa 1945

Here is this Longines Vintage Tank, dating from circa 1945. An elegant rectangular dress watch typical of its period, elevated by a 14k white-gold case and a diamond-set dial.

Its 14k white-gold case measures approximately 20.5 x 39 mm and houses a beautiful white dial with a distinctly Art Deco character. The hours are marked by diamond-set indexes, alternating between round stones and rectangular arrangements. Two slender baton hands display the hours and minutes, while a small register at 6 o’clock displays the running seconds.

It is powered by the Longines calibre 9L, a hand-wound mechanical movement featuring 17 jewels, operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour and providing approximately 42 hours of power reserve. The movement will be regulated as closely as possible to achieve the best possible timekeeping performance considering its age.

The watch is fitted with a new brown leather strap and a generic stainless-steel buckle.
