- Patek Philippe - Calatrava 18k Yellow Gold Circa 1960 Ref. 3468
Here is this Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 3468, dating from around 1960. An elegant and classical piece from the Geneva manufacture, characterised by refined proportions and a particularly understated aesthetic.
Its 18k yellow gold case houses an elegant silver-toned dial with subtle opaline reflections. The dial features a minimalist configuration with slender applied gold-tone baton hour markers, doubled at the four cardinal positions, together with two matching baton hands. A beautifully restrained and timeless composition, perfectly representative of Patek Philippe’s elegance during this period.
Important: after examining the watch, we suspect that the dial may have been restored by a third party at some point during its history. As this potential intervention is not documented, we prefer to disclose it in full transparency.
The watch is powered by the superb manually wound Patek Philippe calibre 23-300. Particularly appreciated for the quality of its construction and finishing, this movement features beautiful architecture and fine decorative work, representative of Patek Philippe’s watchmaking expertise during this period. The movement will be regulated as closely as possible to achieve the best possible timekeeping performance considering its age.
It is fitted with a black leather strap and a generic gold-plated buckle.
It comes with our 6-month warranty.
