Here is a Difor - ThermoNautic Vintage France Ébauche, dating from around 1970.
Its 36 mm chromed steel case is fitted with a black plastic bezel. This bezel is fixed and does not rotate, but it contributes to the typical vintage diver aesthetic of the watch.
The brown dial features a distinctive design with applied markers and Arabic numerals at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock. A date window is positioned at 3 o’clock. At the center of the dial sits a blue disc incorporating a thermometer, indicated by a small red hand. This clever system works together with the watch’s special plexiglass crystal, which was designed to measure the ambient temperature without being affected by the wearer’s body heat. The thermometer is still functioning, although its accuracy is no longer perfectly precise.
The watch is powered by the manual-winding France Ébauche 140-1A caliber with 17 jewels, beating at 21,600 A/h and offering approximately 47 hours of power reserve.
It is fitted with a Tropic rubber strap that perfectly matches the vintage diver character of the piece.
The watch comes with our 6-month warranty on the movement.
