Here is a Dubey & Schaldenbrand Index Mobile Rattrapante, circa 1980.
Its 37.5 mm stainless steel case houses a beautiful silver satin-finished dial featuring applied Arabic numerals as well as colorful telemeter and tachymeter scales. The two chronograph subdials and blued hands give the watch a distinctive vintage character inspired by classic chronographs of the early twentieth century.
This watch is fitted with Dubey & Schaldenbrand's unique "Index Mobile" split-seconds mechanism. The pusher integrated into the crown allows the additional hand to be stopped in order to measure an intermediate time. While the pusher is held down, the visible central spiral spring gradually unwinds, before allowing the hand to instantly catch up with the main chronograph hand when released.
Powering the watch is the manual-winding Landeron 187 calibre. This movement operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour, features 17 jewels, and provides approximately 41 hours of power reserve.
The watch is fitted with a new blue Saffiano leather strap and a generic stainless steel pin buckle. It is sold with our 6-month warranty.
