Here is this superb vintage Record Chronograph, dating from around 1940. With its generously sized 38 mm stainless-steel case, particularly attractive proportions for the period and Valjoux 77 movement, it perfectly embodies the aesthetics of Swiss chronographs from the 1940s.
Its white dial features a beautifully balanced bicompax configuration, with a 30-minute chronograph counter at 12 o’clock and small seconds at 6 o’clock. The dial is complemented by beautiful blued hands together with gold-tone Arabic numerals and pearl hour markers. A blue tachymeter scale runs around the outer edge of the dial, adding a particularly attractive touch of colour to the overall design.
It is powered by the manually wound Valjoux 77 movement. This calibre features 17 jewels, operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour and offers approximately 39 hours of power reserve.
The watch is fitted with a new brown leather strap and a generic gold-plated stainless-steel buckle.
The movement will be regulated as closely as possible to ensure good timekeeping performance.
It comes with our 6-month warranty.
