Here is a Tudor Oysterdate, nicknamed "Big Block," dating from around 1992-1993, reference 79180.
It earned its “Big Block” nickname due to the thicker case required to house the automatic movement, making it one of the brand’s most iconic chronographs.
Its 40 mm stainless steel case, preserved in an unpolished condition, houses a beautiful silver dial with white sub-registers and a date window at three o’clock. Both the dial and crystal have developed a unique patina, enhancing the character of the watch. The original screw-down pushers and Rolex-signed crown remain in excellent condition.
This chronograph is powered by the renowned Valjoux 7750 movement with 25 jewels, beating at 28,800 vph and providing a power reserve of approximately 46 hours.
The watch is fitted with its original stainless steel bracelet, suitable for a wrist of up to 18 cm.
This collectible Tudor comes with its period-correct box and our 6-month warranty on the movement.
