Here is this Sicura Automatic 25 Jewels, dating from around 1970. It features a 39 mm stainless-steel case, a generous size for the period that gives the watch a strong presence on the wrist.
The silver-toned dial features a sunburst finish surrounded by a detailed contrasting minute track. The applied faceted hour markers give the dial plenty of depth, with larger markers at the cardinal positions. The hour and minute hands retain their original luminous material and are accompanied by a slim central seconds hand. A date window is positioned at 3 o’clock next to the Sicura signature.
It is powered by the automatic Baumgartner Frères calibre 158, featuring 25 jewels, operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour and providing approximately 44 hours of power reserve. The movement will be checked and regulated as closely as possible to achieve the best possible timekeeping performance considering its age.
The watch is fitted with a new brown Saffiano leather strap and a generic stainless-steel buckle.
