- International Watch Co. - Calatrava Vintage Military Hermet Sport Anti-Magnet Cal. 83
Here is an IWC Calatrava dating from around 1942.
The IWC Hermet, launched in the late 1930s, marked a turning point in watch durability. Designed to resist dust and moisture thanks to its hermetically sealed case, this elegant dress watch is powered by the robust Caliber 83, also used in military models such as the Mark X. With its refined aesthetics and functional resilience, the Hermet reflects IWC’s early commitment to creating watches that are both durable and elegant, laying the foundation for modern resistant timepieces.
Its 30 mm stainless steel case houses a black dial with two syringe hands. A small seconds subdial is positioned at 6 o’clock.
This collectible piece is powered by IWC’s manual-winding Caliber 83, introduced in the 1930s. This movement, with 15 jewels, beats at a frequency of 18,000 A/h.
The watch is fitted with a new black leather strap.
This IWC is in good condition for its age and comes with our presentation box as well as our 6-month warranty.
